RE: Pulsating complex systems ...

The market does not exhibit predictable pulsations, but is a true Slutskian summation of random (or quasi random) causes stochastic system (I think). A reason that TA is so imperfect if that no single stock in the market exhibits a stable spectrum. If it did, and if we could find the pattern we could quickly damp it out and grow rich. Stars, however, are systems governed by systematic processes in which random elements are molecular or even quantum scale, while most powerful forces, thermonuclear, momentum, inertia are systematic, and reasonably predictable (e. g. sunspot cycle). Obviously terminal events (supernovae, mass expulsion, x-ray and gamma ray burst) are frequent outcomes of pulsation or cyclical instability. It will, perhaps, someday with better monitoring to predict such outbursts, but it will be a long wait in most instances.
