Afghan ambassador to UN: We support Israel's right to exist

NEW YORK (October 12) - Afghan Ambassador to the United Nations Ravan Farhadi said yesterday he supports Israel's right to exist alongside Muslim states in the Middle East.

"We are very much in favor of the fact that Israel has a right to exist," said Farhadi, whose opposition Northern Alliance, known formally as the Islamic State of Afghanistan, currently controls one quarter of the country.
