In the CC yesterday, the forecast for 1X chipsets in the fiscal year was 7 million. This would seem to be the key indicator of of expected growth/implementation of the 1X upgrade cycle. How did this number fit with others here expectations?
My thought is that if we can do 90 million fiscal 2001 with only 7 million 1X, then the upgrade cycle will be pushed out a little further than hoped, but to get 90 million mostly without new generation product in a market the rest of world says is slowing is very solid.
