So the case that has to be made by Duray (or you, if you wish such a task) is to explain why it's different this time.

Don't look at me. That's not my issue. I'm prepared to cut the government some slack on the matters of secrecy and liberties while an appropriate balance is sought. I'm too old to still believe in slippery slopes.

Change of subject, for those who might be interested, I've been avoiding the news these few days but a friend recommended a Frontline show, Faith and Doubt at Ground Zero. It's about the role of religion in all this. I'm not quite finished watching it but I'm finding it interesting. It's in four sections. Don't watch the first one if you don't want to see people jumping or at least be prepared to close your eyes. I had not seen them before. The first section is mostly an introduction, so it's skippable.

Also, I was looking at the list of scheduled events hoping to see when Kelly would be singing the National Anthem when I came upon a memorial being held tonite at the Jefferson Memorial by the Washington Area Secular Humanists. I thought that might have a different flavor. I may walk over there and watch for a while.
