OT - Has anyone else noticed that C/NET takes up a lot of space by quoting every utterance from a narrow range of characters: Bill Gates, MS exec Steve Ballmer, Mr. McNealy, Steve Jobs, Netscape CEO Jim Barksdale, Gates, Microsoft CEO Bill Gates, oh and did I remember to mention Bill Gates?

Although C/NET does provide a lot of cutting edge reporting and many very good in-depth articles, with a lot of things reported before the press release is even out, I get weary of following every tit-for-tat between Gates-McNealy, Gates-Barksdale, etc. Like who cares about the latest verbal joustings between these guys. I don't see every Gates utterance as worthy of the Top Story spot.

Maybe I'm over-tired right now, but I think the media has OCD when it comes to covering Gates vs. the world. -G-
