Brain was not shared with anything else. Similarly, Finn and HK kids have a limited horizon: Biggest part of their brains concentrates on extracting as much as they can from school. Compare with a Brazilian kid who has got a wider horizon. Such kids share their brain widely. Thus not concentrating as much on extracting from school as a Sotuh Korean, HK, Singaporean or Finn kid.
