Shell, for the last 8-9 years has been in a mode of selling off their smaller, non-core properties. Sometimes at give-away prices. One instance was a sale of a pipeline and compression unit to Solex, just south of Waterton. Another example was a sale of assets to Poco in northern BC. (I never heard how much cash traded hands)
There are deals out there, how to land them is another question. Shell had a sulphur block equipment and facilities for sale on-line @ bill Wigely's Auction...
