"When was it banned? It's available all over the place here..."

I believe it was late in '02 or early in '03 when the FDA banned this nutritional suppliment (with cholesterol-lowering effects) that has been used by traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years... and from which modern medicine's patented cholesterol-lowering drugs were first identified and derived.

A search of the FDA's site should pin down the exact date --- but I remember quite well when many of the suppliment manufacturers sent out notices that they were being forced to drop the product.

(The argument here, is that RYR was not banned because of any medical complaints --- but to protect the LARGE profits Big Pharma makes selling their prescription medicines.)

(Afterall, given the choice, a lot of people might have chosen to spend pennies a day for RYR... rather then $10, $20, $30 dollars a day for prescription statins --- which, ironicly, were derived from RYR.)
