Barrick plan to reduce hedging is wholly inadequate they still have the largest hedgebook in the gold industry merely reducing their annual hedges does NOTHING to reduce their monster risk of a blownup hedgebook when gold rises it cost them something like $500M in 2001 alone going on mammory alone here Newmont news is most excellent their hedgebook comes solely from acquired Francisco Nevada I might have screwed up the name if they eliminate their hedged exposure, that means plenty of gold buying or delivering in the open market either way, positive for POG pog this! / jim
