Nihil, I am not sure your understanding of the WTO is completely accurate. I know they would not allow a nation to refuse to import some kind of fish that had been caught which endangered another threatened species. Sorry to be so nonspecific--I saved the article about this but cannot find it at the moment. The very problem with the WTO is that it sets policy behind closed doors that threatens the sanctity and authority of nations it regulates. It is hard for me to imagine all those people protesting in Seattle otherwise.
