So far the analyst comments I have seen on CSCO seem bullish. Is that a good sign?<g>

However, we have just started to see some profit warnings from tech stocks (NVDA recently) and no so great guidance from others for the next quarter.
Is it a case of -where there is smoke, there is fire--
This is different from last year and reminds me a bit of late 2000.

As for Cisco, I think their earnings should be good but the guidance is what concerns me. Up 2% and big increase year/year (i think 18%) seems a lot to expect from such a large company.

That said, the odds favor the bull case but the risk seems too high. No growth at Cisco could mean a lot lower P/E (and of course a big drop in the stock price)
