Mon 4 May 98 News Release
Mr. Marek Kreczmer reports
Preliminary metallurgical test work on a composite sample from the Golden
Horseshoe Reef at Itetemia has returned exceptional recovery of 98.4 per
cent gold from conventional cyanide leaching.
Core sample rejects from the 13 diamond drill holes completed to date were
made up into a composite sample, finely ground, and subjected to a 48 hour
bottle roll test. Amenability to the cyanide leaching was excellent with
progressive recoveries as follows:

% Gold
Hours Recovery
----- --------
2 51.7
4 65.2
10 82.6
24 92.2
48 98.4

The composite gold assay was 3.67 g/t. Testing was done by International
Metallurgical and Environmental in Kelowna under the supervision of
MineStart Management of Vancouver.
The latest phase of diamond drilling was recently completed on the Golden
Horseshoe Reef. Assay results are expected within two weeks.
The gold bearing stratabound horizon has now been outlined over a strike
length of 380 metres and vertically from surface to a depth of 120 metres.
It remains open in all directions.
