Vancouver, B.C. ¡V November 25, 2008 - JER Envirotech International Corp. The award is bestowed upon a company that has carried out new research, which has resulted in innovation(s) that have or are expected to bring significant contributions to the industry in terms of adoption, change, and competitive posture.

Custom compounder JER Envirotech, based in British Columbia, is a global supplier of thermoplastic biocomposite compounds and sheeting. The company offers a range of biocomposite materials developed in cooperation with Canada¡œs National Research Council. Its patented technology utilizes waste or by-product materials, such as wood fiber or rice hulls, to produce environmentally friendly alternative products featuring the durability of plastic with the appearance and workability of wood.

¡§We are delighted to be honoured with this award¡¨, says JER President Edward Trueman. ¡§It recognizes the quality and depth of a company¡œs R&D program as well as the vision and risk-taking that enabled it to undertake such an endeavor ¡V we couldn¡œt be more delighted to have our efforts recognized.¡¨

To choose the award recipient, Frost & Sullivan¡œs analyst team tracks innovation in key hi-tech markets. The selection process includes primary participant interviews and extensive primary and secondary research via the bottom-up approach. The analyst team shortlists candidates on the basis of a set of qualitative and quantitative measurements. The analysts also consider the pace of research and technology innovation, and the significance or potential relevance of the innovation to the overall industry. The ultimate award recipient is chosen after a thorough evaluation of this research.

This award tops off a successful year for JER Envirotech. Earlier this fall, the company announced record Q4 2008 results and quarter over quarter growth. Revenues increased 72% over Q3 and 193% increase in revenues over fiscal 2007.

JER is also receiving positive feedback on the Sprig Adventure series range of eco-friendly toys. Developed in partnership with US-based socially-conscious toy company, Sprig Toys, the toys are now available in mass and specialty stores throughout North America, just in time for Christmas. The range is made from eco-friendly materials which can be substituted for pure plastic in injection-molded toys and offers numerous environmental and consumer-safety advantages.
