Actually, I should have said, a novel finish to a meal cooked in the fashion of the Indian subcontinent.

The ginger is candied ginger, so the ginger flavor is delicate as well, rather than the potential fire of fresh ginger. Recipe available upon request. (Don't everyone flatten me with demands, LOL!)
