Since it's obvious that the blue states have most of the smart people in them and most of the economy of the country, we would instantly become MUCH RICHER without the drag of the Southern Red States.

We would have to keep some of the northern red states but they can be flipped with enough effort. We can simply kick out the nuts.

Just think about the devastation that global warming wrought on the gulf coast this year! It was awful but Bush promotes pollution and global warming and won't even talk about the Kyoto protocols in any form. Just think how much we would save in disaster relief and low interest loans and national guard mobilization if we didn't have to subsidize the hurricane devastated Southern Red States!

I think the economic advantages to the Blue States would be of great interest to our rather blue neighbors.
