Gallup: 62% of Americans now say the US is headed in the wrong direction. 34% approve. That is only 2% better than Bush's approval-disapproval ratings. Bush is now least popular on his handling of the war. 28% is the number who approve. But how could anyone approve of a pathetically mismanaged and dishonesty waged boondoggle?

28% seems to be the number who will never disapprove of Bush-cheney even if they are indicted and thrown in prison. Nixon had similar ratings the day he was forced to resign to avoid impeachment.
