Maybe they think SUF is the French form for FU.

It is probably some anal retentive lawyer who has put out a paper in legalsleeze telling some newly arrived programmer from New Deli what is acceptable.
If I was in that position I would set up the computer to wipe out every combination of FU possible cause whatever the lawyer wrote would not make sense to anyone but another lawyer.
Or someone complained that you had just leaked some insider information.
