Ten, I'm not sure what is expected, to be honest. We all have our biases, but I'm drawn to what I'll call "professionalism" -- the appeal, for example, of how GWB has handled his post-presidency to date, versus how Jimmy Carter has handled his. There is just something unseemly about Carter, to me.
Likewise, I think Obama's campaign is showing a terrible lack of professionalism and I'm extremely turned off by it. I'm not sure whether other people have the same kind of gut reaction to what appear to be desperate acts. Or whether it is just voters being really open to seeing an alternative to re-electing Obama. Whatever it is, the polls clearly indicate that the Obama attacks are NOT working. When Obama has thrown this TON of money at this campaign, and the polls have continued to tighten in the states where he's spending the money, you would think his people would re-group and think about another approach.
That they haven't suggests to me that they really just don't know where to go next. If they think they can drag out the War on the Self-Employed, the War on Tax Returns, the War on Capitalism for the next several months, I think they're making a mistake. |
