Making a choice now is more likely than in the past. The cultural bombardment of "Gay is Okay" at prepubescent ages makes it more culturally acceptable. It will surely lead to confusion among the young. Indoctrination of gay issues to the younger children is a matter of scale tipping.

I suspect the constant cultural bombardment will result in more sexual experimenting by young people. They've grown up in a milieu that pushes the acceptability of a gay lifestyle. Whether that results in more people adopting a 100% homosexual lifestyle, I don't know.

I do know I've met several young male kids who at an early age I made a mental note, "wouldn't be surprised if he's gay." The son of a neighbor comes to mind. I doubt when he was 6 he made a conscious decision that he was gay. As he's grown into a teenager, it's quite apparent to me he is gay, and I don't think there was a volitional choice that was made.
