Karl, by the way, so far you are the only one that has noticed my SPY post. You know, the idea of shorting spiders for the same reason as you mention in the other group has also crossed my mind. I think it is some version of what we talk about here. However, remember market goes up 10% on average. So this strategy is OK is you think the market is very overpriced. By the way, I dropped the idea of shorting spiders because I think you can improve your odds by picking your shorts. Look at all the wonderful picks here Zitl, ACLY, TRBO, etc.
