This fab was built too early. At least a year early. Other memory companies had the foresight to delay their new fabs. Whether you consider this a major blunder or over enthusiasm by the management is up to you. But, clearly it drained idt of its financial resources during a period when they needed them most.

I don't see the connection between the development of C6 and the building of the fab except that it provides excess internal capacity. Please remember that IDT's process R&D is in San Jose not Oregon.
