I take back what I said about Dean being an almost shoo-in. My memory failed me.

Nonetheless, he made a strong push, was the early favorite, and, had he not imploded with his Iowa speech, would have given Kerry a run for his money. His success suggests that the Dems have a sizable contingent of loons, which is the point Nadine made in response to Steve Rogers.
