I was there in early May and last yr mid Oct and folks complained about not being able to get rid of old man winter or those stalled fronts that seem to hang around forever. Also folks thought it had changed due to how volatile the temps were now in winter. Are you referring to perhaps many more short periods of warm shirt sleave weather in winter than 20 or so years ago?

I remember growing up in NYC. Not much past Labor Day and the start of school/football season you took out the winter clothes sweaters/coats and used them continuously into May. Very rare to see a 65-70 degree sunny day back then. Coming down to Florida in winter felt like paradise.. Still does for many<g>
