Jim, Hi!!! Thanks for the opportunity.... One of the visions I continue to have is of a possible way someone or something could derail Dell.....Now, I surely don't have the expertize of many of this thread...nor will I ever claim to....I will always remain the consumer who saw something in Michael Dell and found a management team with a product that is a dream....I will never profess to know it all...I can only judge from my trust in this company..Yet, I never have been let down by them....unless you wish to argue of their continual underestimating of their progress :o)...When weighing something or something impacting Dell's growth......I always find myself strongly attaching Michael's word to his products...With this being the IT age...more and more customers are discovering what so many on this thread have known for sometime.....IMO the world is rapidly discovering Dell's cultural change..And indication of this may lie in Michael's quote regarding his view of the future......He has told us that increasingly Direct is winning out over Indirect ....50% of their business will be over the internet by the end of 2000...This "ultimate extension of their business model" continues to impress me as a further indication that Dell's word is winning and WWW.DELL.COM/ is not just a site to buy a computer...it is a cultural acceptance of quality...IMO as long as Dell keeps this quality and service far above the rest of the industry...Dell is unstoppable!
