So, you have some inside information that Bush was "asked" not to attend the convention?

Bush has refused, out of respect for the office, not to once criticize his successor -- even though his successor has run the worst presidency maybe in history. But you think he would suddenly start criticizing him the day of the convention after nearly four years?
