For everybody including the Dish people monitoring this thread,

Here are a couple of ideas I would like to see Dish take a look at:

1) Offer existing DirectTV customers a free swap of equipment. Take the DTV equipment and wholesale it to some third party. That third party could sell the used equipment to existing DTV subs that would like to add additional receivers. I think it would be terrific to see some of those 3 million DTV subs move to Dish. I have been wanting to do this for a long time, but don't like the idea of having my $600 Sony system sit idle.

2) Establish web access for customers to change their own programming. This web access should also allow on-line viewing of the sub's bill. I wonder how much could be saved by eliminating the paper bill?

Does anybody see any holes in these ideas?

Marc
