Okay, the deal with UMC can potentially increase AMD's unit production by as much as 25%. But I'm skeptical as to whether or not this can allow AMD to reach 30% given Intel's fab expansions (aren't we getting some of that next year?).

This one's a head scratcher. AMD can't sell all the Durons they're already making and will probably have to write off a boatload of them. Meanwhile they want to contract out production and pay UMC for a product AMD is already selling at a loss? Is this because AMD wants to convert F25 completely to flash and therefore will have no Duron capacity? Why keep selling a product line that loses money when they will now have to pay an even higher die cost? This makes absolutely no sense, assuming AMD has good yields.......
