Craig,
A note on SNDK valuation: take a look at today's Heard on the Street column. It's on Internet equipment stocks. Doesn't mention Sandisk, but it suddenly became clear to me that Sandisk has been taken out of the semiconductor group (where it was last fall when it dropped to single digits), and put into the Internet equipment stocks. I don't know "who" does these things, but they've done a pretty good job of it.

While it has been "obvious" for the last 6 weeks that SNDK was trading like a I-nut, I still didn't see what it had in common with AOL, AMZN, YHOO, etc. I was looking in the wrong place. Don't know why it took so long for me to clearly articulate that, I'm a little slow, I guess.

We've both been skeptical all the way up on this stock. That's why I always keep a non-trading core position in stocks whose stories I like. I have absolutely no pretentions to being able to guess when a stock will make a great move.
