Some non-microprocessor info "Advanced Micro Devices (AMD: news, msgs) spokesman Ben Anixter projected third-quarter non-microprocessor sales of $300 million plus. "We see a two- to three-year shortage of Flash memory," he also said. Cell phone demand is being driven by Flash. Anixter added, "Athlon [processor] will help us retain market share" and will place the company in the commercial market." cbs.marketwatch.com Last Q's non-microprocessor revenue (not counting Vantis) was $238M. I think a continued increase in non-microprocessor sales along with strong Athlon sales could bring profitibility to AMD in Q4.
