I suspect, as mentioned previously, that today's consumer pricing for 1.5 to 2.0 gig systems, both AMD's and INTCy's, is sufficiently low so as to 'cause a flurry of upgrading from the previous installed base of 500 to 700 MHz...To purchase a 1.5 to 2.0 gig system today costs almost 50% of what a 500 to 700 MHz system cost 2 years ago...Not only astonishing but also a major incentive for upgrading, methinks!!!
