Cirruslvr, <Looks like the Flash news and/or the possible sale of part of Dresden is having a positive effect on the stock on this down day. > No kidding. AMD's other operations will give AMD roughly ~100M in profit this Q; if they can get the micro biz to any number less then $100M loss we are talking about profits this Q. With continuing growth in flash, Q4 should be better. That the management is considering some kind of partnership on Dresden will also be viewed very positively by the street w.r.t. down side risk on the stock. Analysts are also considering the serious short-term profitability that such a move can fetch given the premium fab capacity fetches now-a-days. Not a bad day at all. I sold a few puts this AM. Definitely willing to risk being assigned at $17.5! Chuck
