Hi Keith, It rained hard here all night and is rainy and foggy this AM. Heard there were nasty storms in the middle South.

For better or worse, I try to limit my trades to once per week per stock. Some stocks I delay even longer - like once per month. That "feel" comes with getting to know the stock's personality.

All that said, if I'm really low on Cash Reserves - like after last Fall's little tremor - then I tend to sell as often as AIM asks until the Cash Reserve has a comfort level.

I'm glad the idea of multiple Newport portfolios appealed to you. I have mine, my wife's, each kid's, a couple of friend's, my fraternity's, a "fund watch" list, and a "stock watch" list as separate sub-directories. The master directory I called STOCKS and each sub is named appropriately. This keeps the accounting separated in each account. Then to make a security backup, I just copy the entire STOCKS directory to a floppy.

Please note that once you have installed Newport to each sub-directory, you can go in and remove the Winport.exe file from each and put it in the STOCKS directory just once. You then need to change the way the computer addresses each subdirectory. The command line will need to be changed to go get the EXE file from the STOCKS directory. I hope this isn't too confusing. You can also remove the Help files as long as they are in the STOCKS directory. This keeps the files lean and doesn't waste Hard Drive space on duplication.

Best regards, Tom
