The government has a responsibility to pay people wages that are fair and equitable. We pay taxes and those that are paid with taxes should be paid decent livable wages.
Only because Bush and his cronies are going to get tons of contracts is he able to get away with suspending laws that have a real purpose. And the sad part is that the wages down in the NOLA Gulf area a ALREADY SUPER LOW....
to be honest....this is what should have been done with the people in NYC on a more logical level with those wages almost TRIPLING those that are more common down there.
But I don't see Bush doing anything like this for the 'contract' workers and our new ARMY of MERCENARIES that are contracted for by these companies in IRAQ!.....
where it's all VOLUNTARY...compared with the MUST HAVE WORKERS situation to rebuild CITIES IN OUR OWN COUNTRY
