I also thought some of the posts on Raging Bull last night were well done. I am also of the opinion that although WINK has done a very good job of "corporate name dropping", I will be surprised to see them amount to very much over the long haul. Here is a quote from a source at Liberty concerning WINK along with the link and related text:
"A source inside a Liberty affiliate company said the natural preference will be to work with Liberty Interactive, and not with an outside vendor, such as Wink Communications Inc. or ICTV.
"I wouldn't want to be a shareholder in any one of those companies," the source said. "Why would TCI, for example, work with them when they have Lee Masters building them something specific to their needs and working in concert with companies like us?""

That quote was taken at the time of Liberty's initial investment in ACTV. Yes, they had a good look at WINK.
ACTV is without peer. When you consider the impact that HyperTV will have on the convergence of the TV/PC for entertainment, ecommerce, advertising, education, business to business solutions along with the individualization of sports, music, gaming, commercials etc. this company is simply extraordinary. John Malone said recently that all deals in this industry are run past Liberty first. Well its no wonder he chose ACTV - they are the best. After all is said and done ACTV will the company standing in the end as the winner in this industry.
