You are playing with peoples' lives that are not yours to play with. Israel is a sovereign country. Let them make their own decisions about their own security.

Prior to 9/11, maybe you're logic would stand. But now we're directly involved in the struggle against Islamic militancy, and OUR LIVES, yours and mine, ARE INVOLVED.

I don't know where you live Nadine, but for a year I walked along A&E drive at the Pentagon where the nose of that plane made its furthest penetration. I walked through the rebuilt corridors of Wedge 1 on a daily basis. I saw the aftermath of that plane hitting the building. I sweated out the possibility of a biological or chemical attack that evening, thinking we might be seeing a concerted effort to destroy the seat of the US government, as well as its financial center..

So it's very real to me. I'm involved as is every American.

So we, as Americans, have to make a choice. Try and resolve the problems in the Arab world the best way we can, or wait for them to try and change us.

And you and I know that the militants won't stop until they have waged Jihad on the entire western world. Because for their way of life to prevail, they have to destroy anything greater and more powerful.
