Hi Barbara,

I've been in telecom for 14 years. Although it's gotten a lot more complex with the advent of Internet and local/long distance convergence you can generally think of a phone company's basic "product" as a phone call. Everything else that the folks in marketing do almost depends on billing. Good billing systems will make marketing look like geniuses. Bad billing systems make them look like morons. That's a large part of what went wrong at AT&T all these years.

Saville's got a hell of a niche. My company has been building its own systems for years so we don't need to outsource, but how can all these new competitors who want to bill for every telecom service at the same time ever hope to get there in less than 10 years? The only solution is to buy it from outside. I don't know a lot about this part of the industry but people I know who have dealt with them think they're excellent and very customer driven. That's what matters most. As long as management stays focused and they continue to hire good people there's no end in sight, in fact this particular part of the telecom industry is almost certainly about to explode.

So, I continue to hold my long position and will keep buying those calls on the dips to add to the income!

Good Luck!

Phil
