That proves my point about machismo and not common sense being
the reason for the disdain on these threads (where we are all
very computer literate) for AOL.

Most net gurus agree that he who controls the gateway to the internet will be the big winner. AOL has the brand name and the right
strategy to become THE ISP for the newly computer literate all
across the world. Their new pricing is really revolutionary,
IMHO. They are not losing all content, and much of the stuff you
get on AOL for free, you have to pay for on the net. ANY content
is better than the other ISP's. Losing some of it will decrease
costs.
