You'll need to read the essay to comment, Nadine. His use of the "lying" term is a generic one for presidential rhetoric, to note that Bush engages as much as previous occupants of the office but in different ways. But then he wishes to argue that it's a world view which turns ideology into everything. If you wish to call it something else, be my guest.
