Nortel takes aim at Cisco with router price cuts news.cnet.com "Nortel launched out of the gate with a partnership with chip giant Intel. The two companies will work together on programmable networking devices, with Nortel providing the software and Intel the hardware based on its Exchange (IX) Architecture". Also nortelnetworks.com Reading the article it looks like Nortel has software that will run on Intel's IXE processor. I can only assume this is based on VxWorks. Perhaps this is the reason for the jump ? Other possibilities QCOM Earnings Pure TA Regards JC.
