I think the South East Asian problems (especially Japan and in light of all the currency devaluations in that region) have had a tremendous negative effect on Sun's revenue. This however would be offset if Europe and US did exceptionally well. I believe that Europe and US have done well. Neverthelss I just feel nervous this time around as I believe the currency devaluations have been greater than even Sun had anticipated! Overall I still believe they will come in line with the expectations (and perhaps, just maybe, they miss the earnings by a couple of cents), but I do not think they will beat the estimates. What is most important is what they say in their conference call after the earnings are released. And that I believe to be strongly up beat and very bullish. And that is what WS really cares about and not what happened just past quarter.

In any event, it does not matter! Whatever happens will simply be a blip in Sun's continued explosive growth.

Addi Jamshidi
