Wind River, Pervasive Team On Data Delivery August 3, 1999 -- Pervasive Software and Wind River Systems have announced they will partner to deliver data to Net devices. Specifically, the companies said they would integrate Pervasive's SQL technology for mobile and embedded devices with Wind River Systems VX Works real-time operating system. The companies are aiming at devices such as smart phones, handhelds and also network computers. The companies claim that developers will be able to integrate the Pervasive.SQL 2000 database engine into Wind River's OS. Pervasive.SQL 2000, which has a footprint of less than 100KB, also supports Windows CE and the Palm OS.
