Did the article give any specific reason to justify its prediction?

The entire article read as if all the data came from an official release by Apple together with info on the SEC filling on Gil Amelio.

I was very surprised when I turned on the computer and could find no reference here or on Yahoo news to the part talking about the extra 30 million dollar write down and the lower revenues for this quarter.
