Barnett had an interesting take in his presentation on the Muslim assimilation problem with the west. He said that it is not a problem of ideas but of sex. The west had solved this a century ago, but the Muslim countries haven't.

The idea of letting women go to work and having rights, along with the sexual freedom and license that goes with it, is the hardest thing for the Muslims to accept. They will accept the political ideas much easier.
