Earnings Release Date Uncertain I called IR again today to confirm whether earnings would be released this Friday, 7/31. Was told earnings would be released Friday or Monday. Said I was surprised the date is not yet fixed. IR reiterated it would be Friday or Monday. Asked when they would know for sure which day it would be. Was told "Friday". Avoided the temptation to ask why is Ivax one of the few publicly-traded corporations in America that can't narrow their earnings release date down to the DAY, let alone whether before or after close or during market hours. There will be no conference call. (I don't know if Ivax has had conference calls in the past.) Nothing of substance was said, but I was annoyed enough (not by the IR person, who was professional, if a bit curt) by the lack of precision in the company setting its release date that I said the heck with it and sold out my position today at 9. For anyone interested, I did learn that Ivax has a toll-free number, 800-980-IVAX, and E-mail is investorinfo@ivax.com.
