Yesterday, I sent you a PM that politely asked you to leave me and my threads alone. (See Below). Your comments about "Freedom of Speech" are a bit misplaced as I made it clear that I would do nothing to stop you from posting to me or my threads. They are further misplaced when you consider that there is no right to free speech on a site not owned by the government and certainly not on one that actually allows people to be banned from certain forums on a whim. You might want to take a quick civics refresher course to get a better understanding of "Freedom of Speech". And considering the fact that you would have had me try to silence those who attacked you last week as well as the serious guilt trip that you gave me in PM when I posted a welcome to Steve Lee on the PTT thread, it is pretty clear that, not only do you not understand the concept of "free speech", but you are also a hypocrite about it.
The fact is, I applied the same principles last week that I applied two years ago. I didn't step in and defend a good friend of mine from completely unprovoked attacks by you. A lot of people lost a lot of respect for me at that time. A lot of people think that I should have just gone to a new thread, make it moderated and simply ban you. A "Rich1 Free Zone" if you will. I didn't do it and I *won't* do it. On my threads, you are absolutely correct, despite my request that you move on, you absolutely have the ability to post on my threads. But, like Uncle Harvey, the way I have learned to deal with him is to simply ignore him. That is something that is also *my* right. You have the right to talk all you want, but nobody has the obligation to listen.
There is one pattern that you have Rich1, that is that the things that you object to most from other people, are generally the things that you violate on a regular basis.
You worry about the free speech thing, yet you would deprive it of others.
You complained about bears taunting the bulls, but in fact, you were always there to rub it in when a bear was losing money. Don't think I didn't see your jubilant posts on Zeev's thread at the pain going to be inflicted on the bulls on when there was a two day rally in the downtrend.
You complained that I didn't defend you from the attacks last week, but god forbid that I defend them from you in the past two years.
You never hesitate to jump on the anti-jew thing, but in fact, your whole objection to be called Rico (Rico means "Rich" in Spanish, BTW) seemed pretty damned racist to me.
So, post all you want on this thread. I won't know about it. You are now officially "Uncle Harvey'd".
And as for the stalking allegations that you are making on other threads, interesting accusation considering that I asked you to leave me alone and yet you still insist on posting to me and my thread.

Note to thread: I will not know what Rich1 says. I will not know if he is attacking you. If you don't like the fact that he is on the thread, quite simply, put him on ignore. As of right now, he is somebody else's problem.

I am requesting that you not post on the Groundhog Day thread.
I know that you were not the one who initiated this past altercation. That is not important to me. This past altercation was the offshoot of several other previous altercations that you did initiate.
I took a stand based on principle. The principle was that you had every right to post on the thread that other people have. If someone doesn't like what you have to say, it is there right to put you on ignore. The other principle is that I believe that when two people step into the ring together, that it is not my place to hold one or the other down so that the other can win the fight. I used those same guidelines almost two years ago with your original altercation with Lost1.
So, I am not going to create a moderated thread, so if you choose not to honor my wish, I will not stop you. But to be clear, I am asking you to leave me and my threads alone.
