I am not a big gates fan, nor a big MSFT fan. However, I believe that their dominance is based more on inept competition than their predatory practice. Gates has said this himself. Apple had a chance, but their unwillingness to open up their OS early on hurt them badly. The AOL/NSCP combination could have been killer, but it appears that AOL caved.
