Perhaps it has got to do with the fact that the small-cap tech stocks have been in a bear market for so long now and that they might have bottomed out. The large-caps like Cisco & Lucent are much more susceptible to corrections since their price haven't gone down as much. 3com is an exception b/c it has performed poorly in both bad and good markets.
