Tom, The reason I posted the comment from the 360 offical on voice clarity was to point out that that voice clarity doesn't seem to be an issue any longer. A while back I posted Nortels labratory tests on the vo-coders and they said GSM/TDMA/CDMA all had land line quality. When TDMA first came out it was terrible. When you talked with someone it sounded like they had their head in a bucket and the echos were terrible. When CDMA was first talked about it was thought it would provide 20x analog. Now that has changed with the 13 bit vo-coder. An earlier post by someone in the field stated MOt/Lucent/Nokia as the big winners in the CDMA arena. I am not against CDMA . I just look at QCOM as a investor and its PE scares me. I just can't see how they can provide the money to finance Nextwaves needs. This is probably why the gentleman stated MOT/LUCENT/NOKIA will be the winners. These giants can handle what ever financing is needed. The huge windfall that you mentioned will be determined on or about 10/23/96 for IDC . It could reap investors a huge sum should the courts find for IDC. My position is with 60 million in cash and zero liabilites the down side risk on this stock is minimal and the upside is enormus if the appeal goes in IDC's favor. All GSM/TDMA equipment that has been sold over the years in Europe IDC would get paid for.
