EDISON, N.J., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- New Brunswick Scientific Co., Inc. (Nasdaq: NBSC), today announced the promotion of James T. Orcutt, President of the Company, to the additional position of Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Orcutt joined the Company in May 2000 as President of its Life Science division and served in that capacity until his appointment as President of the Company on September 10, 2001.

David Freedman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of New Brunswick Scientific, stated "Jim Orcutt has taken on more and more responsibilities since becoming President and this promotion is in recognition of his leadership skills and his ability to innovate, especially after a very difficult year during which the market for life science equipment was very depressed During his tenure, Mr. Orcutt has focused on the implementation of strategic initiatives, team building and the development of depth in the Company's management structure.
