Hi, Fred! I think that choosing Atheism doesn’t really offer an escape from the dilemma of religion. Believing in God is an act of faith – but, so is NOT believing. Often enough the difference between the two is… shall we say, nominal (-g). Religions tend to offer more, because they are usually… better thought through.

Religions reflect traditions, while Atheism, especially in its militant incarnations, drifts towards nihilism, and often enough doesn't have very much to say, except for declaring its *credo*...
